Here young people from all of Norway live close together while they cultivate their shared passion for volleyball and simultaneous technical education at Sauda Vidaregåande skule, department of ToppVolley Norway.

Rygjatun has dedicated employees who are passionate about creating togetherness and lasting bonds, so that time spent with us becomes a good platform to build lives on.
In 2025, a brand new boarding school was completed at Rygjatun. The building spans three floors and accommodates large, airy rooms with thoughtful standards. All rooms have a desk, ample storage space, a double bed and an en suite bathroom.
The boarding school is the home of the second and third graders at ToppVolley Norway. In addition, an eiga guest section has been built with rooms and rental apartments for rent to family and other guests.
The new building has a spacious common area with a kitchen and comfortable furniture that provides a natural meeting place for good times between sessions. Here you can also find one of the students shared laundry, with ten washing machines, overhead dryers and good molegheits for hanging cloths to dry.
93-building, also known as 1st class-building accommodates 30 rooms of varying sizes. Quarter room is equipped with bed, writing desk, wardrobe, shelves and washbasin.
The building has a shared shower and toilet, as well as two comfortable common rooms with a sofa hook and a completely new kitchen.
With a strong focus on community, 93-building is a lively and inclusive boarding school, which facilitates good relations and three educational and memorable years at ToppVolley Norway.
Trust is our mainstay. Therefore, we have few but clear rules at the boarding school. We treat others with respect, and take care of ourselves and our community. We learn that we cry the longest if we do it the same.
Rogaland fylkeskommune står for utleige, kontrakt og fakturering til elevane.
Rygjatun har personale til stades frå kl. 06.00–21.30 i kvardagar, og frå kl. 13.00–20.30 i helgane, utover dette har me vakttelefon. Elevane deltek i daglege kjøkkenvakter, og i helgane er det desse som syter for felles frukost.
Heile området er røyk- og rusfritt for både elevar og gjester.
Life far from home can be both daunting and challenging. We have so much focus on supporting others, in good times and in more demanding times. We elevate others, share responsibilities and thus build friendships that last.
At Rygjatun, we work closely with ToppVolley Norway, so that young people meet the same values at school, in training and at boarding school. We share a common understanding of what it takes to thrive, grow and stand well in life. Results last a while, good choices last a lifetime.
