The Student Residence

Here, volleyball students from across Norway live closely together while completing their education at Sauda vidaregåande skule (Sauda Upper Secondary School),ToppVolley Norge.

At the residence, we place great importance on safety, rest, healthy eating habits, and a strong sense of community.

Rygjatun has dedicated staff who are passionate about creating belonging and lasting friendships. Together, we shape everyday life so that the time spent here becomes a strong foundation for building the future.

New building

In autumn 2025, a brand new residence building was completed at Rygjatun. The building has three floors and offers large, airy rooms with a high standard. All rooms include a desk, good storage space, a double bed, and a private bathroom.

The residence is home to the second- and third-year students at ToppVolley Norge. The building also includes a guest section with rooms and apartments available for rent for families and other visitors.

The building features a spacious common area with a kitchen and comfortable furniture, creating a natural meeting place for relaxing moments between training sessions. The students also have access to a shared laundry room with ten washing machines, matching dryers, and good facilities for drying clothes.

93 Building

The 93 Building, also known as the first-year residence, has 30 rooms of different sizes. Each room is equipped with a bed, desk, wardrobe, shelves, and a wash basin.

The building has shared showers and toilets, as well as two comfortable common rooms with seating areas and newly renovated kitchens.

With a strong focus on community, the 93 Building is a lively and welcoming residence that encourages strong friendships and three memorable years at ToppVolley Norge.

Trust in practice: We do it together

Trust is our foundation. That is why we have few, but clear rules at the residence. We meet each other with respect and take care of ourselves as well as our community. We learn that we go furthest when we do things together.

Information and daily rhythm

Rogaland County Municipality is responsible for renting, contracts, and invoicing for the students. Staff from Rygjatun are present from 06:00 to 21:30 on weekdays and from 13:00 to 20:30 on weekends. Outside these hours, a duty phone is available.

Students take part in daily kitchen duties, and during weekends they organise the shared breakfast together.

The entire area is smoke- and substance-free for both students and guests.

Communityis our strength

Living far from home can be both exciting and challenging. For this reason, we place great emphasis on supporting one another in both good and more demanding times. We lift each other up, share responsibility, and build friendships that last.

Strong for life

At Rygjatun, we work closely with ToppVolley Norge so that students meet the same values at school, in training, and in the residence. We share a common understanding of what it takes to thrive, grow, and stand strong in life.

Results last for a while. Good choices last a lifetime.

Quite simply — there should be nothing quite like it – Maken skal ikkje finnast!
